Today we start a big experiment, this time, with the output of our future music.........here it is "The Beat is Happening" freeeeeeee for you! Let me explain the project, On the first day of every month, 1 song will be released free, as an Open Source / Copy Left project. All songs will be given away over this blog, with an added opportunity to download stems & create & post your own remixes, opening up our creative process, to greater discourse and further creative development. The collection of 10 songs to be released over the next 10 months are produced by Phil Speiser, aka Dirty Disco Youth together with us.
The Beat is Happening on hot nights, all over the world, all events are true, some names have been changed, some not! Don´t get us wrong, we´re just taking advantage of the positive sides of this great digital era, by not having any companies between ourselves and you...... We´ve become our own lab rats, all parts included!
Long live art and experimentation, copy cats, can copy........if you share the profits!

THE STAGE IS YOURS! (The first Interactive Chicks on Speed art-performance)
The Naked Performer was our first DO IT YOURSELF STAGE SHOW, blurring the lines between "audience" and performer, where the audience became the art stars.
Jobs on Stage: bar tenders with schnaps cocain pistols, wanna be dancers, mobile disco ball slaves, "creative rape", unfamous action painters, all the way, naked or not, everybody entering the performance space was hired for the job, anything said, performed or not performed, was part of the performance...including breaking that girls mobile phone! oops!
A.L. Steiner´s.......slide lecture in the dark, whilst melissa begins to show audience performers how to paint....
The beautiful and artful, Ann-Liv Young aka Feminasty Sherrie was Career adviser; Sherrie starts looking for art workers who always dreamt of being famous painters, dancers, bar tenders to follow C.O.S. instructions very attentively!!!!
Sherrie and A.L. interviewing the audience, "Is it more comfortable to perform naked on stage?"
"The Naked Performer" Lecture by Krõõt Juurak

GIRL MONSTER # 9: GENIUS INVENTOR GODDESS![]()
Her recent series of works entitled Integration Project summarizes experiences and investigations related to the situation of being a womаn immigrant in Germany. The preceding project Looking for a Husband with EU Passport was an initial key frame that thematises gender politics and capitalism and describes the collision between isolation, poverty and the EU policies of exclusion: to obtain a residence permit for the EU she posted her nude photo on the Internet in search of an EU citizen interested in marriage. A brief meeting in Belgrade was followed by the wedding as a performance act in the media of law.
Tanja Ostojic (Belgrade/Berlin) was born in Yugoslavia in 1972 and studied art in Belgrade and Nantes (France). She is an interdisciplinary artist developing and presenting her work intensivеly worldwide, engaged as well as cultural activist, visiting professor, contributor to the “Art in Migration” magazine (Vienna). She includes herself as a character in situationistic performances and uses diverse media in artistic researches, thereby examining social configurations and relations of power. She works from the migrant women perspective. The approach in her work is predominantly defined by political position, humour and the integration of the recipient.

Here it is, a short vid-edit, we exhibited as part of our fashionable art installation @ Markt, Scope New York, edited by our lovely, friend and collaborator A.L. Steiner, who, under all difficult circumstances created it, (in between A.L. preparing her new work for PS1 and moving house....!!! ) We LOVE you Steiner!!!!
People, people... including our most wonderful booking agent Ulla, always asks us for a video clip of our new dj set, but each one is different, so by the time we get the video all swanky and ready, we´re already performing a new set.....so can´t wait for direct video streams in clubs, so everybody can be part of the action! I hear they´ve already laid loads of optic fibre cables all over the planet, so when can we work real time, on projects with our buddies in NY and Melbourne.......... simultaneoussssli?

Almost 7 millions viewers. Right. I guess this ain't what you can call "une découverte". It even seems all my friends know the lyrics par cœur already. Still, it made my day. Ninja men who know how to twirl, Eva Peron, Ringo Starr and mullet with headlights are there, Bonnie est en mode actor's studio et la personne qui a eu l'idée de faire cette vidéo est un putain de génie. Brilliant.

The theremin tapestry, made during our exhibitiion "Viva La Craft", Craft Victoria, Australia and debuted at "Best of 50 years" @ Kunstverein Wolfsburg, in December 09, is now having it´s very own professional "Hasenkamp-like-art-box" built and on its way to Dundee Contemporary Arts, for our solo show: "Chicks on Speed; Don´t Art, Fashion, music" opening June 4th. Other Objekt instruments, including the theremin will become part of the stage performance at the opening. Yes the theremin is based on theremin technology, woven by The Victorian Tapestry workshop, with hardware from Andre Smirnov @ The Theremin Institute in Moscow and implementation / programming by Alex Posada and Merche Blasco.
a NEW secret objekt instrument is in the making @ Hangar.org ... its got something to do with a high heeled shoe and Lady Gaga!
